Clubhouse & Dining

Our iconic Clubhouse with its red tiled roof is part of the local skyline, clearly visible from Howth, Baldoyle and Portmarnock Village. The Clubhouse was built on its present site in 1896.  The present interior layout was completed in 2003. The Clubhouse offers members and visitors four separate dining opportunities affording panoramic views of our historic links.

The Bradshaw Bar

Named after Harry Bradshaw, one of Ireland's greatest golf heroes and professional of Portmarnock for over 30 years. A comfortable, informal dining area located on the first floor, providing views across the golf course. The menu ranges from coffee and scones to steaks, a daily special and catch of the day to satisfy all appetites.

The Pickeman Room

Named after William Pickeman who laid out the first nine holes at Portmarnock in the late summer of 1894 and the second nine on 1895/96 with assistance from Old Mungo Park. The Pickeman Room provides an intimate and private dining experience overlooking the 1st tee and Baldoyle Bay. Smart dress attire is required when dining in this room.

The President's Room

The elegant dining room with portraits of past Club President's is located to the southside of the Clubhouse and is used for larger formal dining occasions, accommodating up to 100 people. It is ideally situated next the the summer garden and provides the opportunity to enjoy views of the 1st and 9th holes.

The President's Bar

Prior to the Clubhouse extension in 2003, the President's Bar was the heart of the Club. Used for informal dining it provides a relaxed and social space for golfers to enjoy a drink and a snack after their round. It also provides views of the 1st tee.

On Course F&B

Our halfway house is located to the rear of the 9th green. Please pop in to re-fuel before completing the back nine. We offer a variety of hot and cold snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Please click here to view our F&B packages.

Alternatively you can book your halfway house package on arrival with our golf operations team and it will be waiting for you to enjoy when you walk off the 9th green.
